Milwaukee Bike to Work Week - May 12 to 16

Tuesday May 6, 2008

Ditch the gas guzzler and start deflating the "spare tire" by joining riders in Milwaukee's Bike to Work Week 2008. Participation is pretty simple, just get on a bike and ride to work, school or wherever you go throughout the day. Even the mayor is doing it: On Monday, May 12, Mayor Barrett will be meeting fellow bicyclists at 51st Street and Washington Boulevard, and riding to a 9 a.m. press conference at 841 N. Broadway, downtown.

Other Bike to Work Week events include free doughnuts and coffee at three different locations around the city, Bike Trivia Night at Stonefly Brewery and a bike ride to a Brewers Game.

Already a seasoned road warrior? Check out our listing of Runs, Walks and Bike Rides for Charity for ways to put your biking skills to use.
