Sonic, a popular drive-in burger joint, will be opening it's first restaurant in the Milwaukee metro area on February 24. The chain still also has plans to open 20 restaurants in the metro Milwaukee area, according to a recent report in the Business Journal.
The first Milwaukee-area Sonic is located at 2080 Miller Park Way in West Milwaukee, and the rest are scheduled to be constructed over the next six years. Sonic was started in Oklahoma and now has nearly 3,400 drive-ins in 32 states. Only recently has the chain began tapping into the Midwest market.
