Hi Carrie,

I’ll be traveling through Milwaukee on a Friday in August. What tips do you have for a things to see/do on a day trip? I’d love your recommendations for a lunch spot, brewery visit, galleries, shopping, other cool stuff. I’m writing a post today on my travel blog (www.christinaspostcards.blogspot.com) to ask others for advice, so if you don’t mind, can you please comment there so I have everything in one place? Thanks!

I love Milwaukee and I’m fortunate to only live 50 miles away. We frequently visit the zoo in Milwaukee. It is exceptional and one of the nation’s best! I’d also recommend the awesome art museum on Lake Michigan and just spending some quality time along Milwaukees beaches and lakeshore. There are several great restaurants on the river downtown and if it’s a nice day, I’d also recommend sitting outside along the river. Hope you have a great day!
