Milwaukee Monthly Snowfall Averages

This year, it looks like we might be in for a white Christmas in Milwaukee. According to the National Climatic Data Center, this doesn't occur as often as one might think -- snow depth records have been kept since 1893, and these records show snow on the ground on December 25 only about half the time.

This year, Milwaukee has received 3.8 inches of snow this month, about on par with "normal" and on pace to hit our average of 10.6 inches of snow in December.
