Cons

Guide Review - Zaffiro's Pizza
I kind of get the feeling like I'm going back in time whenever I walk into Zaffiro's. I wasn't around in the 1950's, but I can imagine that Zaffiro's has changed little since then. True, the restaurant has expanded (to form a dining room out of what was a neighboring barber shop) since it first opened in the '50s, but I can imagine the red-and-white checked tablecloths and basic menu have hardly changed. Case in point: Zaffiro's menu offers "butter sauce" as an option for your pasta selection -- hardly something you'd find on a thoroughly modern menu.
In the case of Zaffiro's, this old-school mentality is part of its charm. The place isn't hip, the decor is definitely functional before fashionable, but there is obviously something to the place keeps people coming back. It's the food. If you are a pizza connoisseur, you'll love Zaffiro's old style, thin crust pie. It's a little greasy, and a little salty, and a lot of delicious.
