Milwaukee's summer festival season begins with the annual RiverSplash, which takes place downtown on and around Water Street. This year's event will be held from May 30 - June 1, 2008.
Highlights include:
- Music
Eight stages are spread throughout the festival grounds featuring music from more than 40 bands, including: 5 Card Studs, Reverend Raven & the Chain Smokin Altar Boys, Rocky Mountain Beaver Pond, Substitute: Tales from The Who, King Solomon and many more.

The Kids Stage, located in Pere Marquette Park, will host Irish dancers, children's theatre and more. Face painting, a bounce house, and arts and crafts opportunities are also available to keep little ones busy.

Awesome street performers entertain with unusual acts: chainsaw juggling, tiny bicycle-riding and more.

Take a 30-minute river cruise on the Brew City Queen.
When: 11 a.m. - midnight, Friday and Saturday; noon - 5 p.m. Sunday - Fireworks
A Milwaukee festival is not truly complete with out its pyrotechnics.

River Splash food offerings range from falafel to brats -- everyone will find something they like with more than 40 food vendors on the festival grounds. Also, look out for something called The Other White Meat tour, featuring pork cooking demonstrations.

The marketplace in Pere Marquette Park will be filled with vendors selling jewelry, art, clothing and more.
