General Mitchell International is Milwaukee's major airport and the largest in the state of Wisconsin. Southwest is the largest carrier at Mitchell Airport, though the airport is also served by Delta, United, US Airways, American, AirTran, Frontier, and Air Canada. International charter service is available via Funjet Vacations and Apple Vacations to six destinations in Mexico and the Caribbean. Mitchell offers one-stop connections to cities throughout the world.

Mitchell International is located on the south side of Milwaukee in the City of Milwaukee. This site has served as an airfield since 1927, when the county airport facilities moved from the northwest corner of Milwaukee County. Of course, the airport has undergone extraordinary changes since that time, and now serves nearly 10 million passengers per year.

Mitchell International is relatively easy to get to. Take the airport spur from I-94, or access the airport entrance on street level just south of the intersection of Grange and Howell Avenues. Want more details? Map it!
