Seven Bridges Trail - Grant Park, South Milwaukee

By

Grant Park is one of a string of parks that dot the shoreline throughout the southern Milwaukee suburbs of St. Francis, Cudahy and South Milwaukee. It is the second largest park in Milwaukee County. Best known for its Seven Bridges Trail, Grant Park is also home to the first golf course operated by Milwaukee County, aptly named Grant Park Golf Course, which was opened in 1920.

Grant Park's Seven Bridges Trail, now best known as one of Milwaukee's haunted hot-spots, offers an easy hike through woods and ravines, and offers beach access. The trails are not spectacularly marked, however, and despite rejuvenation efforts some areas of the park still have a run-down appearance. Because of this, a walk through the Seven Bridges and adjacent trails would not be a great idea after dark, but it can still be quite charming during the day.

Where: South Lake Drive at Park Avenue, South Milwaukee
Hours: Grant Park closes at 10 p.m.
