The Lake Express High Speed Ferry offers 2 1/2 hour service between Milwaukee and Muskegon, MI, from May through October. Launched into service on March 20, 2004, the Lake Express Ferry is an aluminum hulled catamaran that can reach speeds of up to 34 knots (40mph).
Eastbound travelers often find the ferry to be an excellent alternative to driving through Chicago, especially if bound for a destination in Michigan. Car rentals, provided by Hertz, are available at both terminals.
